Reviews Petite Lortal

Excellent

Date of stay: September 2018

A lovely cottage, fully equipped and in a delightful tranquil setting. We’ve known the Dordogne for 35 years and the charm of the river and its environs remains as strong as ever!

Great Stay

Date of stay: June 2018

A wonderful cottage in a lovely part of France with easy access to Bergerac / Sarlat / and even Cahors further south. Cottage has everything you need and is cool when the temperature outside is high. Pool which can be used at anytime is an added bonus. Our hosts were great and could not have been more helpful. For a quiet weeks retreat or as a base to discover the area it was ideal. Recommended !!

Relaxing environment

Date of stay: July 2017

Together with a friend I stayed at le petite l’ortal for a week. The accommodation is located in a quiet area, which was exactly what we were looking for. The home is well equipped, and we can honestly say that Rene and Andre made it feel like a home away from home. They even made sure that we had the right music to listen to, while providing various CD’s. We took a dive into the swimming pool various times in the afternoon, which was the cherry on our cake.

An ideal place to stay

Date of stay: May 2017

Petite Lortal is an ideal place to stay for a holiday in the Dordogne. The house is extremely well equipped, the bed comfortable and the shower great.
There is plenty of space to relax outside in the garden. The countryside is beautiful. Although the location is remote the roads are good and it is very easy to get to all sorts of interesting places. There are so many things to see and do in the area and some lovely walks.

beyond expectation

Date of stay: May 2017

we went over with high expectation. The lovely cottage, that has everything one could think of, was lovely and the setting in the landscape was perfect. we were able to make nice walks from 0,5 hour till 3 hours where we felt we had the whole world to ourselves. Andre knows some perfect places to have a great dinner. At the end we could only say that it was byeond expectation!

Great get away

Date of stay: October 2016

Me and my partner had a great stay in Petit Lortal. The house has everything for a comfort stay. New kitchen, bathroom and great bed. The owners are very helpful to make sure you have everything you need. There is al lot to do in the local area but you need a car. We did a lot of sightseeing and golf. You can enjoy a very nice lunch in every restaurant in the local area for a good price.

Lovely

Date of stay: May 2016

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the cottage for a week. The homeowners are two lovely people who were kind enough to let us swim in their swimming pool. The cottage is not big, but everything you need is there. It was a home away from home. The Dordogne is lovely. You do need a car in order to go to places, but lots to do when you are there. My favorite was going to different markets, favorite was in Lalinde on Thursday (an hour drive) and Saint Cyprien on Sunday (half an hour drive).
